Privacy notice.

This notice explains how the Covered team handles information on usecovered.app. It covers the application form and private review area, not the separate services operated by X or a payment provider.

What we collect

If you submit a request, we collect your X handle, bill category, requested amount in USD, explanation, declarations about following or reposting on X, confirmation that you can receive X Money, and agreement to the application conditions. We record the submission time, reference number, review status and internal review notes.

We do not request bill uploads in this form. Do not include full account numbers, your home address, identity documents, passwords, wallet seed phrases or medical details. If supporting evidence is needed, we will contact you separately and explain how to provide it privately.

Why we use it

We use application information to consider your request, check its accuracy and the program conditions, detect duplicate or abusive submissions, contact you through X, and keep a record of the review. Submission does not authorise marketing messages or public use of your story.

Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, application processing is used to take steps at your request toward providing support. Security and abuse prevention support our legitimate interest in protecting the service. Public sharing of your story or a transfer record requires a separate permission; it is not a condition of applying.

Private storage and access

Applications are stored using Vercel private storage and are accessed through a protected administrator session. They are not published to the public payment ledger. Vercel provides hosting and infrastructure and processes technical information needed to operate and secure the site.

The team may inspect the public X profile you provide to verify the declared conditions. The site does not receive your X password or automatically verify follows or reposts. Visiting an X link takes you to a separate service governed by X’s own policies.

Technical information and cookies

The application service uses a keyed hash derived from your IP address to limit repeated submissions and login attempts. We do not store the raw IP in application records. Hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, request information and security logs.

A necessary administrator session cookie lasts up to eight hours. The application form does not use advertising cookies. The site currently does not include advertising trackers or an analytics integration. The site loads its font from Google Fonts, which receives the technical information needed to serve it.

Location and retention

Our application storage is configured in Vercel’s US East region. Hosting, support and infrastructure processing can involve other countries. Where required, applicable safeguards for international transfers must be in place.

We retain application information while a request is being reviewed and for any subsequent payment reconciliation, dispute or abuse investigation. Information should be removed when it is no longer needed for those purposes, subject to applicable recordkeeping obligations. Archiving a request does not delete it. You can ask us to review retention or delete your information through the contact below.

Your choices

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your information, request portability, or complain to your local data protection authority. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify that a request comes from the account concerned.

Age and changes

The application form is intended for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact the team. We may update this notice as the service changes and will update the date above. A materially different use of application information will require appropriate notice and, where required, permission.
